Pretty cool that CPKC will let the the employees pick the new livery.
I think one looks the best, although I was hoping they would spell put Canadian Pacific Kansas City on the long hood like they did on CPs before this.

Option 5 looks best to me--it brings in the most of the exciting KCS paint into the boring CP paint.
Or, my second personal choice would be option 3, with the yellow lines on the nose.
Option 4 is the worst.
Option 5 is the best.... but I think all of them are ugly and unimaginative
well the poll closes the day before my birthday
if only there was an option six that combined 3 with 5 and a cream roof
any chance we could see a CPKC locomotive in the next lionel catalog?
and how long until we see one of the schemes on the rails and not on just paper ?
will CPKC run a promotion train just like the multimark days?
Option #6
KCS Southern Belle.
I was so focused on the loss of the KCS name and livery that I forgot that we're also losing a second classic and historic railroad name: Canadian Pacific.
I so hate these corporate conglomerate crap names like CSXT, BNSF (since 2005 it is no longer officially Burlington Northern Santa Fe) and now CPKC
I like option 5 also, but I would bet option 2 will "win" (regardless of the vote) since it's the closest to the existing CP scheme, and will be easy to change back when they eventually drop the "KC" from the name and go back to just being Canadian Pacific.
(Things like that happen. When Denver got a major league baseball team, they had a big poll of fans to pick the team name. The "winner", "Colorado Rockies" actually finished third in the vote, behind "Denver Zephyrs" and "Denver Bears".)
Regardless, it's a stupid name to begin with. "Canadian Pacific" and "Kansas City Southern" are traditional railroad company names. Both suggested the aspirations of their builders and described to some degree the geographical areas they were created to serve.
Canadian Pacific Kansas City is just a lazy mashup of the two names. The fact that not one of the schemes spells out the name tells you that down the road it will become just CPKC Railway, just like "Warren Buffett's giant Lionel train set" went from being "Burlington Northern Santa Fe" to simply BNSF Railway.
Lazy, unimaginative, cheap and disposable are the words that best describe today's world.
Union Pacific and Canadian National are the last of the Mohicans as far as traditionally named Class Ones.

Kansas Pacific Northern or Kansas Pacific would have been better than CPKC

Since every one of these liveries is basically the CP scheme with minor modifications, it would have been better to let the KCS name die with dignity and just keep it Canadian Pacific and paint and maintain a KCS heritage unit or two. I actually like the Canadian Pacific scheme, especially since they brought back the beaver logo.
As far as a more descriptive name for the railroad. Canadian Pacific & Southern would have given a better idea of the expanse of the system, but then who asked me?
As long as the hedge funds are happy.....
They would probably be prefer gray primer and no lettering.

Boy, you got that right.
When Wisconsin Central created a railway in the United Kingdom, they named it EWS for English, Welsh & Scottish, to indicate it served all three nations located on the isle of Britain. I suppose we could have Canadian, American & Mexican RR? Makes as much sense as having huge railroads using the name of relatively small towns (Burlington Iowa, Norfolk Virginia) in their names.
But by 2030 it will just be Canadian Pacific I suspect.
Atchinson, Topeka and Sante Fe?
