Hi.  The cables that you need are firstly a 6-14191 Command base cable. This will connect from the base unit to the first TPC.  Then you need to daisy-chain additional TPC units to the first one with either a 6-14193 (1') or 6-14196 (6') controller-to-controller cable.

The TPC manual has all of the information for this on page 8. But it isn't the most obvious part of the manual.  Here's a link to the TPC manual in case you don't have one. http://www.lionel.com/media/se...ents/71-4189-250.pdf

You can just use telephone wire instead of the expensive Lionel cable to daisy chain the TPC's and any other of the Lionel/IC Controls devices.

SoCalStu,

I've been developing my overall electrical plan for my layout and discussing it over in the Electrical Forum.  Below is my latest attempt to capture everything.  As Nicole mentioned, you will need the 6-14191 Command Base Cable to connect the Command Base to the TPCs.  The red wire goes to the TPC DAT input and the green wire goes to the COM input.  You daisy chain from there to the next TPC.

Since you are looking at powering the TPC with two PHs, you will also need the 6-14194 TPC Cable Set to connect the two PHs to the TPC.  This cable set has a couple of different cables; you want the Y cable for this connection.  The Black wire does to the TPC's HOT input and the white wire goes to the NEUT input.  I'm powering my TPCs the same way, and because I'm putting so much power to the track I have connected the TIU in passive mode.

I have a MANCO Legacy Signal Booster in the circuit because of the DZ-2001; apparently Lionel will be releasing their own version of a signal booster in the future.

The diagram is for my specific layout and helps me keep track of which wire goes where, especially for the DZ-2500 switch machines.  I posted it to show the TPC connections along the top center.  If you are not using DCS or the DZ-2500 the rest of the diagram is not useful to you.  If you are interested in how it was developed, this thread from the electrical forum will help with some of the background.

If you havent purchased the cable send me an email, as I have an extra one.   jdevleerjr at gmail.com
