anyone know when mth veranda turbine in 2011 catalog will appear? mth website still says dec 2012.

Well, maybe they mean it - they still have two more weeks in the month so maybe.
I didn't pre-order, but have been watching for it constantly. I am a bit gun-shy of MTM locos based on my recent quality issues, but I have a thing for those big UP turbines (along with a very good Lionel Veranda) but I really want this one of these.

My guess is, its the same problem that has delayed everything with four motors over the past two years..
They're still waiting on a problem free P-3 slave board.

Wow - I didn't think about that. I had one of the very old MTH four-motor Verandas (had - it died hard and gave up its parts to mnany worthy projects). Four motors would put even a good board to the test, and my luck with PS3 boards this year has not been sterling. Maybe I will wait . . .
