New "old" Floquil gloss black paint mixing

Yes, I have found once it's opened and sits for month even after it's closed after use it's done for. Even if you thin it down. I'm going through it with my last few bottles also. I love air brushing with the stuff. Don

This does happen with Floquil.  I've had 3-4 bottles, old stock, simply solidify.  I've also had 2-3 do the same after opening once.  Not sure if there's correlation to color or probably more importantly the true quality of the seal of the bottle.

Do you know vintage of Floquil this is? First generation in the square bottle that says thin with Dio Sol, second generation (~1990-92) says thin with Dio Sol or new thinner, third and current generation makes no reference to Dio Sol. I have not had this happen with any of them and I still have the Dio Sol version in liquid state.

This paint is the last version, no older than a year from when Floquil was discontinued.  Solidifying not a problem, it's the opposite.
