This past weekend I took some photos of a portion of the layout seldom seen simply because I almost never take pictures in that area for some reason. Anyway, the sunlight was coming through the clerestory windows just right so I snapped a series of pictures..... As always, I appreciate you taking time to look and comment. Hope you enjoy!

looks great!
Hi Alan,
I just checked in on the forum and saw you posted this thread, Just what i needed to see to brighten up my crazy busy day !!!!!! Thanks for posting these wonderful scenes.

Great Layout, as we start from the bottom and seeing the station in the background, I knew this had to be our own Ad man's layout. Keep sending pictures, one of these days someone from O Gauge Railroading may get the idea to do an article on this masterpiece. Regards,
Jack
Alan, great scenes and fun photos!!
So how many people have you populated your layout with? They really give the viewer a sense of the hustle and bustle of the big city.
Well done!!
Thanks so much guys!! I appreciate the time you take to comment.
Pete...I have around 400 figures on the layout and it is not enough...not even close! On an urban type layout and one this size, I am going to need another 400 or more!!

Great picture's Alan!!
Again great shots from a great lay-out.
Looks like I'll just have time for a cup of coffee and maple bar before my train arrives. Thanks.
Hadn't seen any new photos for awhile Alan - thanks!
Excellent views!

Nice shots, look at all those people!
Thanks again guys....I am very happy with having the sunlight with which to work when taking pictures. Of course one could have the proper kind of photo lights and most likely get the same effects but natural light seems to give the best contrast....

They're all great photos, but I have to admit when I looked at this one, I wondered what kind of real-world lighting conditions could possibly exist to re-create this photo in a 1:1 scale world.
Maybe Godzilla was walking by on a bright summer's day near sunset and this was the gap between his knees as he passed by at a distance?
Just goofing on you. Great modeling, there!

Yeah...I don't disagree. This is probably the worst picture of the group...I should have cropped it.

The original poster did say "the sunlight was coming through the clerestory windows just right"
Wonderful photos! The lighting "makes" the shots.
But, I'd welcome a perspective from the visitor's eye view of the vignettes posted since it may be that I won't view the scene from the camera lens view.

Carl...not sure how to answer that...but....in my mind the camera can "crop" out the distractions. One thing for sure....the camera can also reveal all of the "faults"!!..LOL!

Don't worry Alan! The photos are early morning shots, not everyone is awake and out yet!
Nice photos, thank you for sharing!
Very nice Alan. The McDonald shot was just a hole in the clouds.
Great morning shots!! All those people waiting for the morning commuter train going to work were probably saying " Great he is at it again with the camera. I hope he remembered to get the commuter train running before he started. ". Nice shot of the Micky Dees.
Alan, nice pictures, great layout. I like that McDonalds. I remember when it was fifteenth cents and was much better then. You put a lot of work in your detail.
