I would love an RDC-2. What is the SS site?
Wish I could get an undecorated one. I will get one even if they do not offer the undec.
What would be nice is to see two versions of the RDC1, the version listed as well as the one set up for MU use with high mounted headlights and (optional) diaphragms.
This was my only issue with the RDC's that were done in the past in O scale.

All RDC's were set up for MU, whether they had diaphrams or not. That was the whole purpose.

Thinking about ATSF RDC1's DC-191 and DC-192. The Santa Fe's were a bit different from the others in that they were designed to run as a pair back-to-back so the cab-end passenger steps were removed and passengers entered/exited from the center of the train. The cars had a single cab as opposed to cabs at both ends like most. Ladders/grabs for the engineer were substituted for the step wells and the cabs were reinforced for better protection at grade crossing accidents (which led to painting the cabs red and adding Gyralights.)
The Pacific Rail Society owns DC-191 now, having survived two major accidents and six owners. She's seen better days (photos from PRS Website).
Here she is during better times:
3rd Rail's photo is "pre-Warbonnet" and I can't remember exactly when the ends were painted red/yellow (around 1955 as I recall). Either way would work for me.

I think I understand that, Rusty.
Those operators who used diaphragms had different end details, and these seem to seldom be offered when RDC models are done.
Was there an RDC4 which was not powered?
The RDC4 was all RPO.
The RDC9 was an unpowered coach.
Rusty
The RDC-9's had a single engine and drive [ as opposed to twin engine ]. The big spotting difference was that none had controls, so there were no windows in the ends.

Had not heard of an RDC-9, and what roads ran RDC-4's?
What is the street price on these cars?

Original owners as listed on Wikipedia. Basically, CN, CP, M&StL, NYNH&H.
Did not think to look in Wikipedia: More RDC-3's built than I was led to believe, including 6 in the plains states....5 for Rock Island (they may have mostly done commuter service around Chicago?), and one for the Katy. Although out of my
modeled period, I probably couldn't be restrained from glomming a Rock Island one,
if it came to be. Several are available for tourist rides, but all far east or west coast.
