We won't be anywhere near Conway Yard on the Altoona Employee trips. Conway is probably 100 miles west of Gallitzin.

I saw this on May 13 "DEADHEAD MOVE - Cleveland - Conway - Altoona".

I was just hoping to get an idea what time you would be passing conway? I live close to there and was hoping to get a glimpse

Also, keep in mind the pilot crews will be changed out at Conway, so add on another 20-30 minutes for that and possible servicing...

We'll be in Conway at least a couple of hours. We have to get to 1407 track for the water, and that is just about in the middle of the yard. Then we have to thread our way out the east end of the yard back to the main. That's about 5 miles running at restricted speed right there. Factor in the watering and servicing time and you've got 2 hours easy.

Don't forget the potty break..

Ticketed passengers will receive an email with the reserved parking info which will be in the Industrial Park to the north (north side of Duquesne Way and Roundhouse Road). We recommend that you get parked at least one hour before train time-departure at 830 am.

If you are NOT a ticketed passenger, we can't recommend coming into Lewistown to watch the arrival of the Horseshoe Curve Special.  We are expecting a lot of casual spectators and the narrow, dead end streets will probably turn into gridlock and there will be no good parking except for ticketed passengers.  If you want any other photos along the route, you will probably get caught by the traffic and lack of parking in Lewistown.
