After being on display shelf for several years, I just ran my daughter's older issued MTH blue comet cars for first time today. They were mint when bought them.
I was really disappointed to see after the first lap around, the pick up rollers were pulling out of their fiber insulting board. They seam cheap to me and the roller attachment design itself looks poor as it is extremely close to the axles. Is this common? Is there a fix for this? It looks like the rivets holding the roller fiber board on are tiny and I was thinking of replacing with a washer and self threading screw.
I have ross switches, is this the issue?
