I went crazy today and pulled the three rail wheels out of a ton of engines that I've been putting off doing. I was doing a trade (I'll probably regret). After installing a few sets of two rail wheels that I had, I thought I'd check them to see if they ran.
First off, for some reason half of those engines (addresses) have disappeared from the remote since I test ran them? That got my head spinning (easy to do). When I went to power up the breaker tripped. In a rush I forgot something important to do. I did not switch to 2 rail!
Found it and threw the switch. The engines added right back in their original address. After working on the RR for a few days now, I thought I had a bigger problem at hand.
So make sure the 3/2 switch is in the right position! Now to spend days weeks working on the fleet to 2 rail ...
I'll need to update my written file on what engine is in what address. That'll be fun too. When they go missing, I'll know what the address should be.
