OTT Machine Bascule Sound?

A little sidelight. I knew him personally. I purchased a New Williams GENESIS Engine and wanted him to do a sound chip for me. At that time NO ONE had a recording of one. He had a personal friend who was an Engineer for Amtrak and let him do the Recording of the Prime Mover Sounds, Horn & Bell. He put it on a chip and installed it in my GENESIS. I think I was the only one at that time who had "GENESIS SOUND"!

 

Sort of interesting, YA?

Dave Ott junior and senior were very good individuals to purchase from, they were always cordial and knowledgeable, I purchased some sound systems from them and if you had a problem they would either repair the unit or tell you how to repair it. Fred if you are still in contact, say hello to Dave and his dad, as I recall they were in Berwin.

Trainman, the Ott sound file is installed on my Bascule bridge.  I will record it for you asap.  (probably this afternoon, definitely tomorrow)

Susan, if you could, can I get a copy also?

 

I will be getting a lift bridge also but I am realling also looking for a sound file for coal being dumped from a car via tipple or other device that can be used for our Coal Tipple at the club.

 

So, if anyone has a coal dumping sounds, I would appreciate a copy.
