I have a Lionel 2422 passenger car. The lighting on this car is dimmer than the others. I changed the bulbs but the brightness is the same. Any ideas on what the problem might be?

Worn wiring or dirty pickup rollers can cause a lower voltage.
The bulbs in that car, as you may have noticed, are wired in series and require a GE51 bulb(6-8 volts) to light up properly.
Rob & Susan. Thanks for your help. I cleaned the rollers and wheels but same story. I replaced the wiring (old wire was very brittle) but that didn't help. I noticed the bulbs were larger than the bulbs in the other cars so I switched them and they work fine. The dim bulbs should have been 51-300 according to the Greenberg manual. Maybe the order was filled incorrectly when I ordered the bulbs so I'll try ordering again.
