Powered B Legacy with TMCC AA | O Gauge Railroading On Line Forum

I have the Santa Fe TMCC Super Chief (#6-14571) with the NON-powered B Unit

It looks like the powered B that came out for the Legacy Super Chief (6-34569) matches the TMCC in appearance but I don't know if I will be able to seamlessly use the Legacy B with the TMCC A-A.

I really need the powered unit because the one powered A and the dummy B and A do not pull the 18 inch passenger cars well at all.

Any responses will be MUCH appreciated.

No they will not run well together(odyssey vs odysseyll) Try adding weight to your powered A unit.

If they both have Odyssey off switch, can run them (with odyssey off)?

***edit: Looks like original TMCC AA set doesn't have Odyssey on/off switch.

I have had good luck running legacy ABA mixes with TMCC, by 'dumbing' the legacy unit down to TMCC.

They should run fairly well together.
