I'm operating Legacy 1.4 and am having problems in switching back and forth between being able to vary track voltage for conventional locomotives and TMCC and Legacy command locomotives. Recently I toggled to Command by 1) Selecting the TPC from my legacy remote 2) pressing "L" at bottom of remote and then the SET key. Command is working fine. Now I want to toggle to conventional. The TPC manual instructs me to 1) select the TPC 2) Pressl "M" at bottom of remote and then the SET key. When I do this I can not get track power at all. Naturally, the instructions are for a Cab 1 controllwer. I've been away from the hobby for a couple of years and am trying to get back in. I would appreciate assistance. If all else fails, I'm ordering a Legacy Powermaster 6-37146. The thing is, I used to be able to toggle back and forth with ease, so I'm hoping that there is an easy solution. Thanks in advance for any assistance. I'm frustrated.

I use the same arrangement with perfect results.
I hit the TR button, then the track number, then M for conventional and SET.
Mike Regan did a vid on this set up. It's available on Youtube.

I use the tr button and then either the L or M button have never used set button.
so can you explain to me why to use the set button?
I just leave it in the conventional, or "M" mode. When I want full track voltage, just hit AUX1-9 and get full track voltage. Never understood what the supposed command mode was for anyway.
I went with a up grade and installed the legacy power masters. A very big improvement I think.
just guessing, is your tpc addressed with a track or engine id number? Could it be you forgot? Good luck.

Thanks much guys. I re-programmed it to track 2 instead of 3. It defaulted to "M" mode so I can run conventional again now. I used the set button because the TPC manual indicated that I should. I haven't tried the AUX1-9 but will try that first and then if that fails I will try toggling "M"/"L" without the SET button. I also went ahead and order the Legacy Master. It sounds like I should have fewer problems with it. Thanks again to all of you.
