Has anyone run the Railing Burlington Zephyr or Railking UP M-10000 on O27 curves? The manuals both say O31....

IMHO it would not look real nice. Even 031 would be a stretch.
I would think that they probably would not run on tubular O27 due to the articulation of the cars--there may not be enough. They may run on Atlas O27, as the Atlas is 27" dia. center rail to center rail. LIonel is not, it's smaller- more like 25-26" dia. center to center.
I have the M-10000 but no 027 track on my layout.
If you do not get an answer drop me an E-mail and I will set up a loop and test.
It looks fine on 031 track as the cars are very short. I think it would work well. The speed control would make up for any wheel binding going through the tight curves.
SantaFeJim,
Even though it did not look nice, did it run ok with derailing etc?
If you're referring to the RTR Set, I do. Mine runs fine. It's lionel O-27.
Jay Mack,
Yep thats the one! Thanks for the info!

And I don't know about not looking nice. It looks great! In fact, I got two of the engines and I have a double powered, AA lashup!
The usual issue with larger stuff is hitting the switch housings on an O-27 layout. Generally, I've found most stuff that runs well on O-31 will run on O-27, excluding the switch clearance issue.
I'm sure there are exceptions to that statement, just covering my bases here.
