I've been mulling around the idea of picking up a MTH Premier UP "Big Blow" GTEL turbine set with PS1 from the 90s and installing ERR Cruise Commanders in both powered units. That's not a big deal. The question is what to do for sounds. Lionel made a Veranda Turbine years ago but the Railsounds for it are no longer available. None of the sounds from ERR will really work. Any thoughts on a sound set to use?

Lou, I don't think there are any good alternatives, that's why nobody answered.

Probably. I was trying to avoid sticking a PS3 kit in each unit to get the correct sounds. I'd rather ERR them. Is there are Railsounds dielse set with a lot of blower/generator whine that could represent the turbine sound?
Go to the 3rd Rail ERR pages and play the sample clips for the diesels, that should tell you if they're satisfactory.
I've done that. None were really close enough. I'm not opposed to ordering a motherboard/Railsounds board/powerboard setup from Lionel to get closer sounds than what ERR offers.
Well, you'll have to find one in the sea of boards at Lionel, that won't be quite as easy.
I've never heard one but what about the jet snowblower car? Maybe the NYC jet test car?

The issue I see here is getting anything but an engine sound board to respond to throttle, etc.
The only thing turbine-related I have are chips from the Century Club S-2 Steam Turbine:
