Railsounds standalone boards from Lionel

I had an E8 railsounds board installed into an engine that was converted from proto 1 to just a Williams conventional e-unit. Running these with a cab-1 and a TPC 400 on that loop of track. I'm controlling the engine with a cab-1 and am able to operate the horn and bell with ease.

My question is:

Can you access the talk on #2 or #7 keys of a cab-1 with the standalone boards that Lionel sells? Or is it that you can only access the talk if these boards are used in conjunction with TMCC boards? I thought that Lionel made some railsounds boards that you can access the talk/announcements with a transformer.

Trainsounds will play voice and engine sounds but I don't think voice can be activated in conventional mode with Railsounds unless Lionel made a special version for non TMCC engines. The newest Trainsounds found in some of the starter set 0-8-0s is pretty decent with quality at least as good as Railsounds 4 with the limitation of Trainsounds of one sound at a time. Chuff or voice or whistle, etc
