Being nearly finished I was puzzling about how to add glazing for the Clerestory windows in this model of Sierra Railway Coach #6. Getting them in there was going to be fun too as there were only little slots in the roof!

I was going to use clear acetate and wiggle it into position using that PSA (Pressure Sensitive Adhesive) that Micro Mark sells but realized I would probably get some glue on the "glass" while maneuvering them into position. I decided to use some solid colored material that would not be marred by removing excess glue if it got on them. I knew I had seen some green plastic material somewhere in the mess of my workshop basement. Looking for a receipt, I found it, a plastic hanging folder!!!

Here are a few closeups showing the pebble gaining and translucence quality of the material.

And the material installed in the car.......

I am happy with the results and thought I'd share it in case any of you are looking for material for realistic clerestory windows in old style coaches.

Thanks,

Peter
