Really enjoying my new/old 6-38095 RS-5 Lionel 611! Great dynamic chuffing (albeit two per rev), really awesome variable whistle (almost quilling!), twin "fatboy" speakers, good smoke output, and powerful Pittman motor. Also, nice detailing in cab and on tender. Although TMCC, I run it with Legacy 1.51. Glad I purchased this model over the Legacy version, based on user comments on this forum!

Those twin "Fatboy" speakers definitely "punch-out" the RailSounds 5.0!
Music to my ears!
Art,
Alex M has converted several of my Lionel TMCC engines from two to four chuffs. Or if your handy with repairs and taking your engine apart do a search for the procedures involved in the conversion. I had my Lionel M1a, J1 and Y3 all converted and they sound great. Alex also upgrades smoke units too. When he is done you think you have a Legacy engine.

Although I appreciate the four chuffs per rev on my Legacy VL hudson, I kind of also like the dynamic two chuffs per rev on the 611. Go figure!
Peter:
Yeah, it is kinda addictive!
Alex converted mine also. I like it a lot. I also have the 612, not sure which I like best.
