I think any Atlas engine made after 2010 comes with the ERR Cruise Commander and Railsounds Commander. I have a couple older Atlas locomotives that were upgraded to the ERR and they're smooth runners and sound great. They smoke incredibly well, too.

I'm surprised that Atlas elected to use just one pick-up roller per truck. Two per truck is usually the norm, even for 2-axle trucks.

Anyway, it's a great-looking engine and I hope you have lots of fun with it.

Hi Jeff • Thanks for showing us your product review about the Chessie System. I found this to be very helpful information, because I have no Atlas / Trainman Locomotives on my layout. Mr. Muffin's is a first class vender and their store layout has to be the best.
