Hi Folks

In my unending search for good running dual motor short diesels for my layout, I have begun to look at the RMT S-4 Bangs.   (I already have two really nice running BEEPs under my belt, I want to diversify a little.)

Anybody out there willing to share a photo, and tell us the pros and cons?

And, can anybody measure one from the end of the front platform to the end of the rear platform (i.e., not counting the couplers), and let me know how long these are?

Thanks for all info!

P.S. -Some may recall that one of my BEEPs would not run over one particular switch without stalling to a dead stop.  Upon the advice of Gunrunner, I cut off the one traction tire on the unit, and now it travels over all switches with zero problems, and has actually picked up more speed.

My apologies folks.

By Googling the topic, I found two lengthy threads on this board regarding the Bangs, one from 2014 and one from 2020.  Those threads contain lots of useful comments and information.

So, to narrow down my remaining questions, I sure would appreciate it if someone would give me that length measurement, and if any folks who run their Bangs with a Z-1000 transformer could comment on how it runs with that particular transformer at lower speeds.  (I don't really crawl my engines, but post-war choppy startups are somewhat of a pain.)
