Rick, that looks to me like a Lionel Lionchief+ Hudson (I have one).   Lets see what Dorcie says.

I have looked over these great photos multiple times this morning, and trying to figure the track plan (I think I have it)!

Rick, it is a Hudson.  From what I could find on the web, I don’t think the Union Pacific rostered any Hudsons.  They had quite a few 4-8-4s.
