I'm getting back into Lionel trains after a long hiatus. I run all my stuff from postwar transformers (ZW, V..etc.). I want to add a sawmill, and I like the sounds produced by the newer ones that operate with command control. Is there a way to operate one of these newer sawmills that have the sound feature using just an on/off switch like the postwar sawmills? I'm okay with electronics/wiring/soldering and would be willing to cut into the cables of the sawmill if necessary. TIA, Rick

I don't think you can. This one is command control only meaning that you can only use a Lionel command remote to run it.
Well technically you could bypass the electronics and just run the motor directly but you would lose the sound effects and lights flashing.
You might as well buy one of the previous versions without CC. The sound is triggered by sensors and its all controlled by a computer board.
I have one of these sawmills. There is no conventional mode for it.
