Anyone know if the Sedali MO Menards carries trains at this time of year? Or the one in Olathe KS?

Don't know about those ones, but I know my local Menards in Michigan has an upstairs section in the Seasonal department. Check around there in your store to see if they do as well. That's where they put the out of season merchandise including the trains. You can still access it all year. I actually bought a few freight cars a couple of weeks back.

Thanks, Rob, but that doesn't help. We're driving this week from VA to Olathe for a grandson's HS graduation. We usually get off I70 & go south to Sedalia for US50, to avoid traffic E of KC.
You could just call them - 660-827-2590.
As far as I can tell, all Menards will have their train stuff in their storage area this time of the year. That should be upstairs, where you can shop for whatever they have. Usually they will not have recently released items, but most have a good selection of leftover items avail through last fall and winter

I don't know anything about Menards in Sedalia, but I was stationed at Whiteman AFB in Nob Noster, about 20 miles west, and have a lot of fond memories. I went to Sedalia often.
The good news is that following banjoflyer's advice, I was able to check the stock in several Menards stores en route. The even better news is that none have anything in trains that could tempt me.
Having some rebate slips from buying the piggly-wiggly, I'm sure something in tools will tempt me.
