Do you need any other LCS equipment to just use the sensor track? I believe you will need the power cable.

If you are using more than one sensor track, Lionel has the LCS to PDI cables in 20, 10, 3, and 1 foot lengths to connect additional LCS devices.
Are these cables available anywhere else?

I believe these are the cable end connectors. The terminals are ordered separately. You could make your own I guess...
Of course, to make your own, you'll need the $400 crimp tool, which kinda' puts a "crimp" in that plan!

You know this of course, but I managed to "carefully" solder the wires onto the terminals without increasing the size of the part that has to slip into the shell. Also when they are soldered, I had to crimp the crimping tabs over to get them out of the way. Pretty small stuff. None of the manual crimpers I have could touch it. I tinned the terminal, tinned the wire, and then tacked the wire onto the terminal. Not a good thing for a wire connector in a vibration environment, but should be ok for the lighting connector I did it for in the Berk boiler front.
And the point is, buy the cables!
I do this kind of repair for damaged connections in Legacy locomotives, but I wouldn't want to do a lot of them this way.
I'd love to find a more attractively priced crimper that would do all the Lionel style connectors. I don't need an industrial level one for the light duty it would be serving.
