You know this of course, but I managed to "carefully" solder the wires onto the terminals without increasing the size of the part that has to slip into the shell. Also when they are soldered, I had to crimp the crimping tabs over to get them out of the way. Pretty small stuff. None of the manual crimpers I have could touch it. I tinned the terminal, tinned the wire, and then tacked the wire onto the terminal. Not a good thing for a wire connector in a vibration environment, but should be ok for the lighting connector I did it for in the Berk boiler front.
And the point is, buy the cables!
