I still think of all of those whose lives were taken and their families who still suffer the loss.
i pray every day that this country may never experience another senseless "day of infamy" as what happened here on September 11th.
May they all rest in peace.

Please plan to go to the Ground Zero site and to the museum opened several months ago. A magnificent job was done on the site and at the museum. I will be making a presentation on both next week and anyone interested in information about visiting is welcome to contact me.

Elliot, I have been to the museum and ground zero this past summer. I recommend that everyone go there at least once. It is a very emotional and patriotic experience. We have to remember and honor in order to move forward.

I will NEVER FORGET and we all should make sure others never forget!
God Bless the USA!
As a member of a September 11th family, it was nice to come on here after our emotional morning rememberance and see this thread. Peter
Would like to get there. If you are near Washington DC, may I suggest stopping here.

I was headed out to MCAS Miramar to discuss standup of a new flying unit when my plane returned to the gate at Washington National. All us passengers were forced off the plane and out onto the main road without explanation. There we saw the flames and black smoke coming from the Pentagon.
I know I will never forget. And we need to make sure no US citizen forgets.
Below are two models from MTH that help us remember.

Do you know the model number for the taller car with the large American flag? Thanks
I visited the 9/11 exhibit at the NYS Museum (Albany, NY) vwey shortly after it opened. It was a deeply troubling, sad experience.
Because of our proximity to NYC, many of the 11,000 volunteer firefighters in Suffolk County are also career NYC members. We lost two FDNY brethren who were also employed as instructors at our county fire academy.
Our local newspaper ignored the anniversary of the event for the second year in a row. I would imagine that it's difficult to do, since our fire HQ with the flag at half staff is right across the street from their office.
I guess I need to write ANOTHER letter to the editor. <sigh> It gets old.

PJB,
The model number of the American Freedom 40' Boxcar is 20-93092. 100% of the profits from this special car was donated to the Twin Towers Fund to aid those involved in the massive search and rescue efforts and for the benefit of the survivors and victim's families from the attacks. Really nice of MTH.
