Show us your pier/dock scene

This is a simple pier for a small-time lobsterman:

Very nice scene, DD. You being a good Maine guy, good move with the lobster boat.

Here is an early view of my dock/harbor scene.  There has been a lot of chance since these pics were taken over a year ago.  I still have to add the sea walls.  I have added a boat launch ramp along with a 1950's wood Chris Craft style boat being launched off a trailer.   

I will try to get some updated photos this afternoon.   

Unfortunately I ran out of room for my dock and harbor area ( My ideas were BIGGER then the space I have to work with). So, I had to settle for the last pictured. I made the car float to handle 9 RailKing cars but I cant use any of the stuff I have pictured. The wharf is made by Lemax and is a nice size to fit with O gauge. As you can see the Lionel tug boat docked beside it in these pictures.

Thanks to all that have posted today.  Trucktrain I really like your car float.  I have a book with pictures of the ATSF tugboats and car floats I am thinking about trying to incorporate that operation.  Had you given any thought of how to make that type of pier?

Very nice job on the car float. I am in the process of building one now. Question, where did you get the yellow rope hooks on the side of the float? Did you make them or buy them?

Thanks for all the pics of really great scenes.  I have your book Dennis....I will be using shower door glass as you did in for the Sandy Harbor.

Surprised that no one posted photos of scenes depicting car float operation.  I really would like to do something along those lines.  

Anyone have a car float operation on their layout?
