I was supposed to be leading a hike today for the park I work at but we cancelled due to the rain/snow mix. The rain is what would have made us miserable. Part of the hike was to follow a stretch of the now-abandoned track one traveled by the CNJ Blue Comet, including the section where the famous 1939 derailment in Chatsworth occurred. So I’m in my office instead, catching up on paperwork (and the forum!).
Every Saturday I go to Charles Ro, but will be snowed in today. I got weak in the knees this week and purchased the new Milwaukee S-3. It will come out of the box today and hopefully get some run time.

Snow days are made for school children and train guys (also trail gals) to enjoy. Not many years ago I had the bug to move to Florida full time to get away from the snow. I rode out a hurricane in Florida and now have a new appreciation for snow.

Have fun today people, be safe and run some trains.
