20 plus years ago, I really wanted the Lionel Pennsylvania Torpedo...

I couldn't wait to get this on the track. But then the LETTER! No stripes?!!!

So , this summer I decided to correct an old frustration and add my own stripes.Here shown with no stripes, very unlike the catalog art shown above. Truth be told, the catalog art sold me the train. Lol. So, I ordered really thin pin stripe tape in a few different options. I decided that the "brushed chrome" was most faithful to the catalog art and proceeded to apply carefully. I think it turned out pretty nice. Easy to do. Requires a steady hand. Problem solved...
