I'd check around for any loose connections before any extreme steps.  Also, closely examine the motherboard for any cooked traces.  Next step is to swap out the R2LC to make sure it's not a problem with the motor drive signals.

 

If you've tried swapping the R2LC, and there's nothing else that's obvious, the problem is likely the motherboard drivers.  They can be fixed, but it's a bit of a PITA the way they mounted them.  My fix is normally to simply remove all four and replace them as they have to be screwed to the heatsink first and then soldered to the motherboard.
