Source for Seats for Observation car!

I've been looking at Lionel replacement parts.  Interiors were not available for the cars I was looking at.

I would go on E-bay and look for Walthers interior passenger car kits. They made them for most every passenger car. They come off and on. Don

Delta seems to have just about any seat we need and I plan on supporting them once I get a list of things I want together.

Here is a shot of the Walters items from way back.

I seem to remember that Brasseur had some of the K-Line interiors available at one time. You might go to their web site to check.

Lionel observation car interior part #620-5601-006 available from North Lima Train works along with other passenger car interiors. This one is for an 18 inch car but they have others. They are $15.00 each.

North Lima doesn't have that.  As I said above, I couldn't find any Lionel interior parts available.  If someone comes up with some, please post.

Those old walthers chairs are the bum--I'll be looking for those!! I picked up some passenger seats off the bay a few years ago. They are fitting great in my passenger cars. I need more--does anyone make them? I need two panels to fill the car. Don

Other then the dome cars you really do not need to have to much detail on the interiors when you fill with a few passengers you do not see the seat detail in most operation unless looking through the windows with a magnifying glass.

When I needed some seats in Williams cars I got L shaped drywall corner bead or drawer edging from the hard ware store added a couple of layers of double sided foam tape to the bottom then cut into the length of seats I wanted and stuck these down in the passenger car base. Glue in a good selection of passengers and it looks like a nice interior, unless you are looking really close.

It was quick and cheap for a large fleet.

I went to the Lionel site. They have two- 6205717005 observation interiors in stock at $15.00 each. I put them in my cart and the site would not allow that if they were not in inventory. Of course the inventory could be wrong but it is worth a phone call.
