Yes in cmd mode.  It varies in conventional.

Then I do not understand your questions.

For TMCC operation set the stall speed. See page 29 of the Legacy manual. Not all engines support this feature.  Once set, your engine will start moving as soon as you start to turn the knob.  Looking thru the Powermaster manual, it appears that for conventional there is only a maximum voltage setting that is adjustable.

Thanks Bob.  I just did not know the term, "stall speed".  I wonder if I saw the Powermaster start voltage thing on a forum?

Press "set" on the controller when your tmcc engine is on the powered up track. Get the engine rolling and turn the red knob back til it just about stops. Press set again.

Any way you know of to do this with Conventional?

you can not run conventional with the legacy based hooked up.

tmcc/legacy engines are always looking for the command signal.

I have a powermaster  I can run conventional Locomotives with it.  I suspect the start voltage could be set via that?

Stall speed is ONLY applicable to command operation, for conventional that's why the transformers always started around 5 volts.

My Legacy powermaster seems to start at zero.

Look at the text you quoted.  I said transformer.

OK so anyway to start the Legacy powermaster off at a certain track voltage other than zero?

If you press AUX1 then 8 the PowerMaster will go to about 5 1/2 volts if your PowerHouse or transformer is putting out 18 volts. That should lessen the amount of spins on the red dial.
