Can someone provide an answer to: Does a B-unit w/"Command Equipped" mean that when running in Conventional, it has some level of sound? Thanks.

V65,
Usually 'B' units, whether powered or not, whether command equipped or not, whether running conventionally or in command mode, don't have sound because they're meant to be coupled to 'A' units that have the sound in them (in addition to the main propulsion power).
There are two exceptions I can think of:
- Modern Legacy "SuperBass" 'B' units have highly enhanced sound, and so are sold, and operate with their sound, separate from the 'A' unit that pulls them. Example: Product No. 1933183
- A few early TMCC/RailSounds 'B' units that were sold to add RailSounds to trains pulled by 'A' units that didn't come with RailSounds (only SignalSounds) when they were manufactured because they were very early in the life cycle of RailSounds and TMCC. Example: Product No. 6-18966
Both of these have sound that operates in a limited fashion in conventional mode, in addition to having fulll sounds in command mode.
I hope this answers your question.

FWIW, I've added sound to a number of powered B-Units and even some unpowered ones as long as they have command (for lights, smoke, couplers).

Definitely an option. I have two that I'd like to update this way, when I get around to it.
