Well, it was a beautiful day to be out and about, and if you were not in attendance, you missed a well above average show for the August date. Lots of great bargains and a large selection of better brass from the Dunn estate. Gem that I spotted in the other room was a George Stock hand painted & lettered MG D16s still in the original mailing box from Chester Holly store in Tampa - cost a whopping $1.27 to mail it in 1955. A mere $1100 on Sat. and why I don't carry checks when I'm attending train shows.
I wanted to buy something. The prices were certainly outstanding. $25 for Atlas or MTH premier cars. Just could not find one I wanted.
Wish I had pulled the trigger on the RY 44 tonner that was a "project". Looks like the trucks needed to be re-attached. It was $250 for brass.
Had a fun day with the bride. After the show we ate at Bird in Hand for some Amish cooking and tooled around some of the furniture shops.
Stayed off of 283 and the interstate and took the back roads home for a nice drive.
