A family friend gave me a rather large collection of engines, rolling stock, tracks and accessories which he amassed over the years. This question is ONLY the engines. If they are not in their boxes (most *DO* have their boxes, and for them, I can just look), how can I tell if the Lionel engines have TMCC or Legacy capacity? I think I know some possible variations on the answer, but I wondered if there were an overarching 'tell ' like a 'prg - run' switch or something else on the body that would give it away?
