Just purchased a new MTH 265E with the traditional motor.  Came with an older style tender which I can't find a number for (photo attached).  Turns out unbeknownst to me this tender has the "low" box coupler and I intended it to pull some 800 series cars that have "high" couplers.  Anyone know a straight forward way to convert the tender to "high" box couplers.  I guess the best alternative is to look for a very good "waffle top 265T" tender to use for the high coupler cars?

Noswad,

The tender is a "261T" that was used with numerous locos back in the day.  They typically pulled 600 and 2600 series cars.. You will have to change out the rear truck for on that has an upturn on the coupler shank... or change an freight car to have a low coupler set up...  265 tenders had both heights.  And to make it worse had both heights, on 2 styles of trucks for 4 combinations!
