Need a little help here - the two pieces in the photo fell out of my newly acquired 224E when I opened it up for an initial cleaning and lubing. I can't figure out where they came off of, and the parts diagram doesn't show them. Any ideas?

If the e-unit stopped working, the look like the e-unit drum parts.

The drum inside the E unit has bit the dust.
Definately repairable, but your 244E is currently "out of service."

Sorry for the delayed response, but you're right. Fortunately, I replaced the e-unit when first I got it, these must have been stuck in the boiler space. Thanks!
Then it's a "spare" E-unit drum, placed there by the little 1/48 mechanics. Just doin' their jobs...don't want to get stranded out there on the high iron, with no way to back up or go forward.
