Have been accumulating a pile of crossing gates and signals with no place to put them, so I put in another access road across three tracks, it gave me a place for a lot of them. Flyer sure had some different ideas for designs.

That's a good way to display a neat variety of signals.

Great idea. Looks good.
Cool!
Very nice layout! I really like how you setup the signals and crossing. You gave me some great ideas. Thanks for sharing,
Bob
Thanks for the comments. Sometimes I have my doubts. The layout started out pretty clean with a lot of room. But true to the tinplate aesthetic, it's becoming a crowded cacaphony of color, light, and movement. It's getting hard to find a few square inches to put things. So far the collection is on the layout, but at some point here it just ain't gonna fit. Trains on shelves are one thing, but accessories on shelves, I don't know.
I just love the variation and the ingenuity of design in these things. I am working on a long term project of getting all the variations of prewar lamps and signals by Ives, Flyer, Marx, and Lionel, (along with a few favorites from Bing, Hornby, and Dorfan...) and not only are there many, but also a very wide variety of design. Somebody really had some imagination when they thought these things up.
Wow! Nice to see all the flyer wayside pieces. Very nice layout.
That's a great idea!
