just bought lionel tmcc command base to connect to mth tiu so i can run lionel if i so desire any thing i should know rather than it has to have a ground to any track iam running most of the diesel are mth but i thought i would try lionel steam engine the new release but realize that i cannot acess legacy sounds.thank you. have a great evening, lightning

Sorry I know nothing about DCS, The TMCC though only has the single wire from the base to the rail. Don't know how these two systems work together although on these forums there are many folks smarter than me that do.

Take a look at this thread on the DCS Forum.
You can run the Legacy locomotive in TMCC mode through the DCS remote if you have a TMCC command base installed and cabled to the TIU. Obviously, Legacy specific features can't be accessed unless you use the Legacy system.
