I cannot get two tmcc engines to form a train. Neither will respond to legacy remote as a train. The individual engines work with the remote. They will form a train with the cab1. Thoughts?

The Cab2 may be limited to controlling a Train using only the TMCC2 (Legacy) protocol and the TMCC engines only respond to the original TMCC commands. Will a Train built from Legacy engines respond to Train commands from the Cab1?
Yes. But only with the cab1. That train won’t exist in the cab2.
Could you program the train in the Cab2 without the engines powered up to get the train logic in the Cab2? The Cab2 would send TMCC2 Train commands - if the Legacy engines were truly compatible with both TMCC and TMCC2 protocols, the would respond.
All TMCC trains must be TR 1-9. Nothing higher. Also when programming the TR # use a leading zero. 01,02 etc.
So train 7 would be programmed using TR07.
Marty. That must be the problem. I’ll try that today.
The leading zero is what bites a lot of people in the butt, it's not exactly intuitive, just necessary.
Using a number 9 or lower did the trick. I forgot that limitation on tmcc trains. I found that I did not have to program 0 before the number. Thank you very much folks. I can now run tmcc and legacy trains from 1 remote.
I think Legacy was smart enough to assume the zero.
