TMCC engine

 "TMCC mode" gives smoother speed steps.

If you're running the ERR equipped locomotive, TAS EOB, or K-Line Cruise, setting them to 100 or 128 steps and using the R100 usually yields better results.  As Rick says, TMCC over CAB1 for 32 steps, and especially with Odyssey I locomotives.
