I just started to have a problem with my TMCC engines. They start up fine, move the speed up runs great, then they will just stop, not shut down. If we turn up the speed it run for maybe 30 feet and stop again. We tried changing batteries in the hand held but they continue run and stop never shutting down. Up to a couple of days ago they ran great. We have about 150 feet of track on this line.
We have legacy with the tmcc .
What could my problem be?

Usually a TMCC engine stopping even though it still has power is a TMCC signal strength issue. If this just started happening, what have you changed around the layout? Check and see if something is amiss with the TMCC/Legacy track signal connection.
John's correct, Is the headlight flickering before this happens, or perhaps as it happens?

Do you have a upper level of track that it stops under? Ie.. an overpass?
There has been a second level, and it does not stop at the same place.
This is what we just did, disconnected the TMCC box, and ran it with the legacy handheld and it has been running for the past 20 minutes with no problem. Could it be a bad TMCC box?
If you changed the command base to the Legacy command base and it solved the problem, the TMCC command base is likely the issue. They can actually get "out of tune" and start causing issues like this.
