What would be the point of tying TMCC and Legacy together? Are you trying to use the CAB1 and CAB2 controllers as well as the DCS controller?
Yes, exactly, I have a cab1, so may as well use it.
I confess that I've never tried this, don't know what would happen. 
I want to use it on our club layout primarily. We have always had DCS and several members have handsets, but a number of us also have TMCC/Legacy locos but no one has handsets apart from me, so the cab1 would be useful.
Yo can use all 3 Barry has an illustration in his book, I think it just uses the standard legacy cable with the TMCC/Legacy to DCS adapter cable

I didn't think of his book either, glad to know. Gee, if I gather all my remotes, I can have six remotes running!

Yup all three no issiues ... Mth tiu lionel 180 watt bricks legacy remote 2 way cable connected to a laptop with tmcc software and tiu .. Gonna start working on the app for the android next ....
