TMCC/Legacy Aux Tenders-What is the difference?

I've searched on Lionel's site and I can't figure out the difference between the TMCC auxiliary tenders (older model) and the Legacy version-other than cost...

A real nice gentleman and I wear discussing a possible deal on these and I asked him the difference-he wasn't sure either.

Can someone teach us? I am considering a possible purchase because the price is right.
