I give up!!!! I posted last October about keeping tires on my Weaver U-25B. After using Walther's Goo, then ACC, finally sending the trucks to Gary (who found NO problems) I have decided not to replace the tires when they come off. They seem to especially hate Gargraves track. My Computer Room mezzanine layout has no switches so running without tires seems to make no difference in performance!

Did you try using the MTH traction tires as I have had no issue with these. Also just for information. The U25B trucks are the same as lionel. So try using replacement traction tires for Lionel diesels.

The indentation for the tire is quite shallow compared to the Lionel and MTH wheel. I am afraid using either of their tires would not work due to the thickness of the tires. In my case, I am almost better off without the tires. It is a heavy engine!
Look! I own an weaver U25B and use the MTH traction tires for diesels and I have had no issues with them.. spend the 5.00. Its that simple.
