We had somebody doing King Kong imitations this week

It's June of 1966, in the twilight years of "The Standard Railroad of the World" at a lonely rural grade crossing at Mattawana, Pa. A shined up Pontiac GTO sits at the tracks as the gates prepare to drop. The stop was actually known as McVeytown, located about a mile to the north across the Juniata River. Pa Route 103 is in the background, and the structures are BTS kits.
Hi Neal,
This has to be one of the best scene's I've ever looked at. Truly amazing,
and so realistic. Neal it would be great to see more of your layout, you should post a thread with lots of pictures of your layout. I'm sure everyone would agree
Thanks, Alex
Phil
The display case looks terrific and the recessed lighting is also very nice.
Thanks Charlie. Those lights are LEDs. I have 10 of them and they use 90 watts combined. The rest of the train room is fluorescent lighting. I wish I would have known way back when that LED lighting was going to be affordable I would have went with that instead for the entire room.
I'm reloading my pics of the North Central Rail Trial.....they weren't showing up on my Ipad....but they are showing up OK on my laptop.....maybe the reload will help.

I hope this solves the problem.
I spent last weekend with my friend Doug Jackson in Atlanta playing trains. Here's a couple of photos taken before he tears it down before a move to a new home. Wish I had the room, but Florida homes don't give you a basement.
A couple videos from running on the Paradise and Pacific in Scottsdale a few weeks back. The AEM7 is more than adequate to pull the 11 car train consisting of K-Line, Golden Gate Depot, and one car of unknown origin from the 60's that heads back into the paint shop again soon :-). The NJT ALP44 is a recent acquisition and was simply being broken in. It is now on permanent assignment pulling comet cars on my home layout.
Alex,
Thanks for your comments. I thought I'd repost one of the layout photos along with the prototype scene for comparison:
Went to the flea market today and scored!
Found this Bemis & Call wrench with B&O RR markings:
This is my second Bemis & Call with B&O markings. Below is the new one side-by-side with one I found at a flea market a few years ago:
Based on my research and the markings on the tools, the wrench on the right may have been made prior to 1868, and the one on the left could be 1920's or 1930's era (although it is possible that it is also pre-1868).
Funny, I like PRR stuff, but I keep finding B&O stuff... I guess I'll take what I can get.
Andy
Nice find Andy.
Hi Joe. The GP-35 is an Atlas. I think it was a Limited Edition run or something. I know it took me a long time to get one, as I missed the initial run.

Here is a pic of my Weaver B&O 3 Bay Offset Coal Hopper. I just bought today off of www.modeltrainstuff.com for 28.19
Thanks for the info. I need to model this on my layout. I have one in 1/64 in this paint scheme but I keep looking for this color scheme in O Gauge. I may get the one you have so I have at least one on the layout.
Could be worse. Could be Beerzilla attacking the Acme Brewery in Los Angeles
We miss you out here, John.
Latest additions to the WIHABL Railroad roster...MTH Premier ALCo RS-11 powered and non-powered units...

I love the custom F-40, I followed your development chronolog. Seeing it in this picture, I must inquire about the disco strip. On the ALP-44 it goes top to bottom as you go to the right. on your f-40 it goes bottom to top. The colors are also reversed. Which is correct?
