2 Custom painted old Atlas/Roco shells fitted on 2004 Lionel F-unit chassis . They fit perfectly , I mounted some screw posts to the bodies . Best thing was the body closed the pilot gap nicely . I super detailed the bodies , turned aluminum inserts to fit the headlight on the blue one to hold the golden white led's , The person did not use smoke units so these were nice "F-7 " stand ins as you could get back then , much easier to paint as well than stripping the F-3 with chicken wire between the port holes . Those old Atlas units can really turn out pretty cool for as little as they cost.
I never knew there was "O" in Hagerstown, I used stop there often while driving down 81 to visit relatives in NC.
Ah, some insight into the wonderful world of weathering bi the Master of Real, SIRT.
Our new Lionel SD-45's showed up sooner than I had expected (how's that for a change?!) and my son Steven had to get them right into service. Here's the pair headed west from near Duncannon to just east of the PA 35 bridge as they approach Mifflin interlocking. "Penn Central Daze" as the expression goes...

"OH" was the first word out of my mouth the first time I visited the museum at the Train Room in Hagerstown!! Its quite impressive I would imagine there have been lots of "Os" uttered in Hagerstown
I took this a couple of days ago with my cell and used an app on it to get the photo grain effects and mess with the balance and such:
I dropped off my 3rd Rail PRR S2 with Jeff at JDS LTD for a PS-3 upgrade back in April at York.
Got an email this week that the worm gear was toast. Boy wasn't I a happy camper!!!
Jeff got right on it, made the gear, replaced a bad motor, and rebuilt the gearbox for me. Runs like a champ now.
An excellent job. Just got an email that it has been delivered. Can't wait to run it!!!
From the TCA Convention today...

Tom,
Jeff does really nice work. Congratulations on your upgraded locomotive!
Missed out on contributing last week. Was in Pennsylvania riding rollercoasters at Hershey Park and Knoebels. Plus the train rides at both parks.
We are Jolly Ranchers Height category. Tall enough to ride everything.

In celebration of the 241th anniversary of the American colonies declaring their independence from Britain, here are pictures of my red, white, and blue locomotive fleet.
A few pictures from the New Hope & Ivyland RR from 2014. I spent many very enjoyable moments
there! CA is great in many respects, but there was something about living 20 minutes from this great
train station that is missed:
