what is your "strong suit"?

I'd say my ability to get a layout built from start to finish in a quick time.  With all the moves I did in the last few years, I have to be quick with each layout, so I can enjoy it!

Electronics and laying grasspaper.

Without a doubt I am an absolute expert at spending more money on trains than any sane person would and whenever I think I have too many trains I see another one that I must have!

Stuffing 40 pounds of crap into a 20 pound bag and managing to make it look okay.

I am a pro at injuring myself while working under the layout and having more aches and pains than anyone else.

Since one of my other hobbies is 1:43 cars, my layout and modular streets and parking lots are filled with impressive stuff. Some are very expensive low production (150 or less) "handbuilts", but most are diecasts in the $30.-$40. range. On the other hand, I feel a few of the YatMings, at $7., are great looking.

I don't have a strong suit . My wife makes sure they're dry cleaned before they get to smelling bad.
I have a birthday suit. I wear it all the time but not in public.

I'm pretty good at losing small parts in the carpet. My cat is better at finding the part and putting it in my shoes.

Also, I guess i'm not half bad at painting and lettering.

I am not bad at tear down and rebuild my problem is finding my tools even though Ihave 4 of each Ido a lot of searching

Riding the Stair Lift [two rail]  up the 16 steps to my attic layout room!

Putting track down, change plan and taking it up...putting track down, change plan and taking it up....putting track down.....yeah.......

I wanted to post earlier but put it off until now. I guess that make me a good procrastinator too. I'm also pretty good at assembling Fastrack to include cutting custom fitters. That is when I actually measure properly. And I'm good at adapting and fitting older 2-rail freight cars with 3-rail trucks and couplers.

Asking lots of questions.

Running Legacy and Proto2 simultaneously with my having run more than 30 consists with more than 40 engines; however, the number of times I can shut it all down without a derailment (collision) is only slightly better than 50%.  It does take up to an hour sometimes to get it back all up and running if it is not on an outside loop.

I'm gonna be sorry for saying this, my strong suit is getting trains, especially engines, into the house. LOL!!!!

Wanting waaaaaaay more trains than I can afford.

 

 

I'm pretty good at building/re-building/repairing/modifying locomotives and rolling stock. I've contemplated repairing for others, but the amount of time involved means I could not possibly charge enough to make it worthwhile.

 

But I like to run the locos that I have "built" from junk or whatever.

I find I'm getting to be pretty good at playing with electric trains.
