Software for the PC/Mac so we can edit the sound files and make our own custom sounds and reload it, or to even edit sound files that were sampled at a lower recording level so we can amplify the volume on the file and load it back.

The newer ps3 boards come with 4mb and will be expandable to 20mb, boy the things we would be able to do. I know I'm asking for too much, but a guy can dream you know!

I have stopped buying MTH hoping that someday they will have better sound in all their engines and sound in the slave diesels of their AA/AB/ABA sets.  If their sound greatly improves, I would like them to make three PRR steamers and two diesels for my late 1940s layout that I still don’t have.  Except for one, MTH has already made them so I think tooling cost would be low.  All need to be in 1946-1949 color schemes (okay, maybe I’m asking for too much):

PA ABA (green 5-stripe)

F3 Phase 2 ABA (green 1-stripe)

L1s 2-8-2

A6s 4-4-2

N1s 2-10-2 (this would be new tooling)

Also wonder about above requests for Casey Jones 4-6-0's, unless the recent WBB version does not have the electronics some want.

It's partly the electronics, but also the Williams engine has some significant flaws. The side rods are too big, the tender, borrowed from another engine, is way oversize, and the detail, while impressive for the price, is not in the MTH Premier class. The Williams engine is a value product; I and others want a premium product.

Generally, American steam.  Specifically C&NW, Milwaukee Road, M&SL CGW 4-6-0s and Illinois Central and Southern Pacific 0-6-0s.  I'm an old timer and I prefer smaller and work-a-day steam instead of the big streamlined zippy-zoomy engines preferred by most younger guys who are too young to remember seeing steam in every day use.  Odd-d
