Can any one tell me why my Charles RO pre-order for a GP35 (6-39556) from the Lionel 2014 Catalog (Page 53) was cancelled? These engines seem to have fallen off the face of the earth!

Most likely Lionel did not get enough pre-orders to warrant building that engine.
and this should not be in the tmcc/legacy section.
Probably as previously posted, not enough interest or pre-orders? Maybe a call or email to Charles Ro or Lionel would provide more information? Looks like a lot of road names were planned. You would think that should have been a popular item?
Actondad this place has the engine you want for 299.95. http://www.grzyboskitrains.com/
To me, this is a legacy issue because I bought the fast track IR SensorTrack, WIFI module and power supply in anticipation of having an IR equipped Legacy engine to run on my layout. I'd like to understand the story behind a whole line of IR equipped Legacy Engines, listed in the latest catalog, that failed to materialize before I place my next order.
As pointed out above Lionel 6-39556 (a Canadian Pacific GP-35) was not cancelled. However, it was likely produced in very small numbers beyond those preordered. It was first listed in the 2013 volume 2 catalog - did you preorder with Charles Ro after that catalog listing, or after it was relisted in the 2014 Signature catalog?
If you want one, I'd suggest heading over to buy the one listed on Grzyboski's web site before it disappears. Grzyboski also had one listed on eBay, but auction ended yesterday with no sale.
Incidentally if you are interested, 6-39558 (the non-powered version of the above) is currently available as a buy-it-now on the DASH auction site.
I have purchased, I believe, the engine from Grzyboski's. Thank you all for the tip. I'll let you know if it get's delivered. If it is, then I'll know it was a very limited production run and I'll understand that since I did order it a while after the 2014 catalog came out. Clearly, if I see something I'd like, I need to pre-order early. Thanks again for the feedback.
I received my nice red CP GP35. I looks good on my layout and runs well. I am happy. Thank you all for the help. I will admit that I was overly irritated in my post and next time I'll ask for help without the rant.
