I have two locomotives from Williams . One is a Fairbanks and the other is an SD-45. Both are SP. When activated the Fairbanks starts in neutral while the SD-45 start in Forward. I would like to double head them but I can't since the E-units are not set up the same way. What are my options?

Are they the same Electronic E units? Williams are a real mixed bag. Somebody may have performed the "hack" on the FM, or it could be a DCRU reverse unit by QSI. Here's an attachment of the hack for Williams reverse units:

Does the SD45 run in both directions? If it is an early 80's unit it probably does not have reverse.
